Firearms Safety Program Course Structure
The recently revised course itself will involve approximately 6-8 hours of classroom instruction ending with hands on training and a multiple-choice test. A familiarization fire of handguns it now required by law, and will follow on a different date and time. Applicants will be required to show proficiency in the safe handling and firing of a semi-automatic pistol and revolver. Upon Completion
Upon completion of the classroom portion of the course, and after a trip to a local range, Sight on Safety will submit the required paperwork to the State, indicating your completion of both portions of the class. You will then be able to get online to the Massachusetts Firearm Portal to obtain your safety certificate and apply for your (LTC) License to Carry.

Basic Firearms Safety;
The cost of the new safety course, including the required shooting portion is $200.
Sights on Safety will provide firearms, ammunition, and safety equipment for the shooting portion of the class.
